Trip to Toronto to pickup the granddaughthers

Ok I will be honest I didn't think this through when I booked us on the Manitoulin Island ferry to go pickup our granddaughters at the Toronto Pearson airport. The plan was to go that way and stay in Burlington for the night so we could visit with our friend in Vineland. I realize to get the ferry booking we had to get up at 3:30 in the morning to make the 9:00am ferry departing from South Baymouth but hey we hadn't been that way for over 40 years so onward and upward.

We finally arrived In Burlington around 5pm wow long day nice trip on the ship but much faster to jus drive for future reference 😗 After bit of a rest we contacted James & Carol Ann and made arrangements to head to there place and then out for super.

They have a beautiful place right on Lake Ontario and one of these days we are going to park Seemore on their lot and as James puts it steal some power 😎

We had a nice visit and great super with our friends then it was time to call it a night and head back to the hotel in Burlington to get some sleep before picking the girls up in the morning and heading back home.

Ok bedtime remember "keep our stick on the ice" and thanks for stopping by.

Friends and fun in Nashville

We pulled out of Blueberry Hill early Monday morning heading for Nashville to meet up with our friends Paula & Larry Thomas for some friends and fun times in Nashville. We had side by side lot reservations at Cedars of Lebanon State park just about 20 minutes out of music city and can’t wait to see our friends.

After a day of catching up with Larry and Paula over a few cups we decided to venture into Nashville for a look see. Parking was almost enough to scare off the average visitor but after pooling our cash  and came up with the $25 for a spot in Printer Alley.

It was Saturday afternoon and it was crazy busy just about everywhere we went so we settle on the Hardrock Café for some lunch before check some of the local bars for a few cool ones and some      down home Nashville sounds.

Paula found this small distillery on line for us to check out up in the back hills of Tennessee it was       quite a ride but we made it without any Deliverance moments :). Wow what gorgeous fall colours.

Okay we have arrived we are not really sure were we are but time to check it out, Somehow I was     thinking it would be this huge building but no just what you see in the picture below Short Mountain Distillery pretty cool.

"Tour time" Our guide was quite the character and sure new his whiskey and took us through the whole process start to finish.

Okay you never never never leave a distillery without of coarse some tasting and taste we did.

It was a great visit with Larry and Paula but like everything all good things come to an end so we said our goodbyes and headed south towards Florida while they where heading for Oklahoma to see there family for Thanksgiving.

Remember "keep your stick on the ice" and drop by anytime

Back in Canada

Okay we  finally finished the last leg of our five day trip home from Florida and have arrived back at Blueberry Hill campground. But wait what the heck is wrong with this picture.

Yes that is snow on our new lot and quite a bit of it, in fact so much we had to go on our old lot that Ernest keeps plowed open all winter for nightly RV travelers. So until Mother Nature helps out as you can see from the pictures below we will just sit tight where we are.

Patches is happy he loves snow

Oh wait this is one is from last week in Florida dam where did we make a wrong turn

Oh well even with the snow it is nice to be home to see our family and all the grandkids :) Thanks for stopping by and remember above all else "keep your stick on the ice" talk to you again soon

Supprise its your Birthday

Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! No its not Gomer Pyle and we aren't in Mayberry but we were celebrating Teresa's birthday at a nice restaurant in The Villages.

It was nice to see all the gang from Ocala together for a great birthday dinner at the City Fire restaurant. For any of you guys who have not heard of The Villages it is an amassing semi retirement  community just south of Ocala Florida and apparently one of the fastest grow cities in America. There are 3 shopping/entertainment squares scattered through out the city with outdoor entertainment areas with free music concerts nightly and golf carts everywhere " its pretty cool really".

It was a fun night thanks for stopping by "keep your stick on the ice" over and out.

P.S happy Birthday Teresa
