Trip to Mexico

Hi ho Hi ho its off to Mexico we go. We are taking our first travels into Mexico this morning and looking forward to see their culture first hand and of coarse Nola has some serious shopping on her mind. We have to drive too Progreso TX where we are meeting the gang and parking on the US side and taking the short walk across the Rio Grand and just like the that we are there "wow" no border guards or showing your passport just your in. Now mind you if you are driving in you must go through a border station to enter, I guess there is so many tourists walking in for the day that they couldn't keep up with it all.

Trip to Lakeland to see the Detroit Tigers

We had a great day in Lakeland today, its only a short drive from our Thousand Trails RV park here just outside Orlando. The Detroit Tigers play their winter ball there at Joker Merchant Stadium in Lakeland and we were invited to take in a game with Teresa, Victor, Adam and his two boys Landon and Wyatt.

Back at Thousand Trails around 6 pm just in time to start the barbecue and have some Ball Park Franks.

The Florida Keys

We book a week in Grassy Key Rv Resort in the Florida Keys wow what a great spot to just relax and enjoy.

Our visit to the Keys with our friends Dave and Pam was a great time and the weather was just gorgeous.    We spent a day in Key West taking in all the sites like the Sloppy Joe's and The Bull.

It was a great week in the Keys with gorgeous weather good friends and nice Rv park. Well got to get  moving here so later y'all  and remember to keep your stick on the ice                                                           

A lot of rain this year

Boy oh boy I don't want to sound like I am complaining or anything but it has been raining and cool here for the past few weeks keeping us on a pretty tight lease for straying to far from home. We did however manage to get to the Tampa Rv show were we signed up for two RV Park memberships the Escapee Club and Thousand trails RV Resorts and also arrange our plans for a week in the Keys. These are two RV clubs I have been checking out for the last little while and finally bit the bullet so to speak and bought in to both of them, they will really come in handy for our next years plans to go to Texas, Arizona and California.

Back in Florida

Wow Hoo we are back at Wilderness RV Resort in Florida and finally out of the snow again for another winter. The trip down was faster than usual because we were trying to stay ahead of the snow storm that appeared to be following us lol. We ended up parked next to Bob and Judy again this year and were glad to see them again and enjoyed a great happy hour catching up on the news since we had last sat down together. Although much warmer than what we left behind it was still cool enough to have the rv furnace run in the night but hey we'll take it sure beats -40 below like the day we left.

The summer at Blueberry Hill

Boy oh boy the time is just flying by " October 23rd already" the only good thing about that is we are starting to think about our winter plans and getting excited at the thought of being back on the road again.
Since our move to Blueberry in July we have had a pretty busy summer with our family and friends visiting with us.

Blueberry Hill Campground is just a few miles north of Sault Ste. Marie and we have made this our home park and plan to spend the summer months here. Below Madison and Nola show how the park got its name with its abundance of blueberry's in the bushes and on the side of the trails all around the park.

In August my sister Linda drove up from Wasaga Beach to spend a week with us at Blueberry and visit with friends and relatives she has not seen in a long time. Below are a few pictures of a great lunch visit with our cousin Sharon and her daughter Nicole and her two girls.

Nola had her niece Shelley from Florida come for a visit at the end of August and we spent one day driving along the beautiful shores of Lake Superior and taking pictures.

And of coarse as the summer went on Danielle was eyeing up the mule and finally told dad she was ready to drive.
